Let’s talk about why it’s important to research the company you have an interview with. For starters, researching the company shows the team or person you’re interviewing with that you care enough about the position you’re going for to educate yourself about the company. This can help separate you from the rest of the other candidates.
Let’s say you have an interview with houzz or citrix for salesforce admin position. Wouldn’t you want to know more about what it is the company does?
What products they sell? How long they’ve been in business and what they stand for? Going into an interview with these answers helps you have a better understanding for why they’re hiring for the position to begin with.
Being prepared in answering those questions beforehand will allow you to ask more detailed questions related to the job itself, such as what are their expectations for the person taking this role?
Will there be any additional training needed? Or even what’s the career path for someone who takes this position? Taking these little steps shows that you care about the work and why they should hire you over other applicants.
